I mean we are paying for this server and i have to say in the 3 months i have been back the server going up and down like a french hooker on the busiest night of the week is not impressive.
I mean this is a pay service and we are not getting quality service, Most of these crashes are probably due to patching the server with those massive "Un-Tested" patches.. I say untested because had they been tested this stuff would not be happening correct? I say CCP should tack a few days on to everyones account to compensate for all the downtime weve been having no?
oh no, now there will be come the usual CCP's avatars starting to post the "whineeeer" messages ( pretending to be players that actually like downtimes and bugs )
Hey, i'm far from a CCP alt and I think the OP you responded to is full of it :P You don't have to work for CCP to find a bunch of people crying and whining over a little unscheduled downtime quite amusing :P

Originally by: Togae Alus they should compensate us for lossing game time as most service providers do when you are not able to access the service because of the providers fault
I find your post original, helpful, and creative.
Thank you for your invaluable contribution to this discussion. Now scurry away and read the damn EULA, okay?

if you compare a game with an online banking server ( which ofcourse does NOT need stability nor upgrades ), i rest my case.
You don't make much sense, and really don't seem to know what you're talking about :(

ofcourse you dont :) you probably were still in kindergarten when we were coding CBOE's servers on Pentiums ( 20,000 transactions a second btw ). Dont worry, you'll grow up and learn.
Not even close. My first computer was a Commodore 64, brand new out of the box :P I'm old :(

Originally by: JD Rush I just bought a subscription... Is this what it's going to be like every day? It's very upsetting that I just spent 20 dollars for a server meltdown....
1) Welcome to eve.
2) No, unscheduled downtime is actually not very common.
3) You will enjoy eve and be a happier person if you understand that getting upset over some unscheduled downtime is just silly. Eve is massive and complex, and unlike other MMO's - we're all on one server together. There's going to be some unscheduled downtime from time to time, and you really should try to resist jumping on the whine whine whine bandwagon, cuz it's really lame and shows the rest of the universe that you are either clueless or a teenager or both :P |

Yay, ELITE! :)
I've been playing through Wasteland (1985 - Interplay) over this last week, and for a game that old and on the limited hardware of a c64 - it's actually pretty darn good :) |

Originally by: Corelous Alterrian When my cable goes down for hours at a time my cable provider provides those who lost service with some perks to make up for the problem. I think CCP should credit the accounts of everyone that has had to endure the lose of play time (Which we pay for) with atleast aweek. Show it Paying players that they give a crap about us and not just our money,
Thats just my Op I could be wrong

Wow, how original and well thought.
I bet that's the first time that's ever been thought of and posted here on the forums. Someone should take a note of this, so you can be given proper credit for your brilliant insight :) |

How does it feel to work for an utterly incompetent company?
Dude, you are freaking RUDE. These guys are working their butts off trying to keep this game running and online, just so ungrateful people like you can hurl random insults. You don't deserve a internet connection, you know that?
